Lithuania, the European geographic centre is situated in Vilnius region, 26 km from Vilnius, following the direction of Moletai, near Purnuskiu village, mound Bernotai.The European geographic centre is decorated with the memorial stone and the composition created by the sculptor Gediminas Jokubonis in commemoration of the integration of Lithuania into the EU. The composition is comprised of white granite pillar, the top of which is surrounded by the star crown, i.e. the symbol of the EU.
